Implement loss prevention systems to reduce shrink and fraud. Perform audits, surveillance, and investigations of internal and external threats. Help develop and enforce policies and controls that safeguard company assets.
  • • Implement and monitor processes to reduce property and financial losses.
  • • Investigate suspected internal theft, external theft, or vendor fraud.
  • • Collaborate with law enforcement to report or investigate crimes.
  • • Conduct site or departmental audits to identify control gaps or procedural deficiencies.
  • • Oversee contract security personnel or loss prevention agents.
  • • Identify and report inventory discrepancies or asset shortages.
  • • Inspect facilities, equipment, and access points to identify security risks.
  • • Maintain detailed documentation and reports on incidents and investigations.
  • • Monitor compliance with loss prevention, physical security, and risk management procedures.
  • • Conduct covert surveillance of high-risk areas such as loading docks, storerooms, or warehouses.
  • • Prepare clear written reports on investigations and findings.
  • • Recommend improved processes, controls, or equipment to reduce risk exposure.
  • • Train employees and managers in loss prevention practices and protocols.
  • • Verify proper operation of security systems such as CCTV, alarms, EAS/tagging, and locks.
  • • Testify in civil or criminal proceedings as required.
  • • Detain and process theft suspects in accordance with laws and company policy.
  • • Conduct employee background checks and review results with operations or HR.
  • • Coordinate with risk management, HR, legal, and operations on programs, investigations, or training.
  • • Identify and report safety concerns to maintain a safe working and customer environment.
  • • Recommend methods to reduce potential financial fraud losses.
  • • Respond to critical incidents, including emergencies, severe weather, or civil disturbances.
