Description
Registered Nurse (RN) who assesses patient health needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, provides direct patient care and treatments, educates patients and families, and maintains accurate medical records. Collaborates with the healthcare team to promote safety, recovery, and health maintenance across care settings. Active RN licensure required.
  • • Conduct patient assessments and obtain health histories.
  • • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions and vital signs.
  • • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation in the electronic health record.
  • • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • • Administer medications and treatments and monitor for effects or side effects.
  • • Perform nursing procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, and catheterization.
  • • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations, procedures, or surgeries.
  • • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
  • • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • • Promote health maintenance and disease prevention through patient teaching.
  • • Follow infection prevention and control protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • • Advocate for patients and escalate concerns based on assessment findings.
  • • Operate and troubleshoot common medical equipment and monitors.
  • • Collect specimens and perform point-of-care tests; report abnormal results.
  • • Support discharge planning and arrange referrals or community resources.
  • • Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs/LVNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • • Maintain stocked, clean, and safe patient care environments.
  • • Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and continuing education.
  • • Provide first aid and emergency response, including CPR, per training.
