Description
As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS), diagnose and surgically treat diseases, injuries, and defects of the oral and maxillofacial region, performing procedures on hard and soft tissues to restore function and appearance.
  • • Administer local anesthesia, IV sedation, and general anesthesia.
  • • Extract impacted, damaged, and non-restorable teeth, including third molars.
  • • Evaluate wisdom teeth to assess current issues and future risk.
  • • Collaborate with restorative dentists, orthodontists, and other specialists to plan care.
  • • Prepare sites for dental implants and regenerate deficient bone and gum tissues.
  • • Remove tumors, cysts, and other abnormal growths of the oral and facial regions.
  • • Diagnose and treat infections of the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaws, and neck.
  • • Manage conditions of the oral mucosa, including ulcers and infections.
  • • Provide emergency care for facial trauma, including lacerations and facial fractures.
  • • Perform surgery for cleft lip, cleft palate, and dentofacial deformities.
  • • Reconstruct jaws and facial structures using tissue grafts and nerve repair.
  • • Treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, including laser-assisted procedures.
  • • Perform minor cosmetic procedures such as chin and cheekbone enhancements.
  • • Provide minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, including Botox and laser treatments.
