Description
Set up, operate, and maintain projection and sound systems to deliver high-quality screenings across one or more auditoriums.
- • Start projectors and cue playlists to project images onto screens.
- • Monitor image and sound to ensure projection quality standards are met.
- • Operate and supervise multiple auditoriums simultaneously.
- • Assemble pre-show, trailers, and features by ingesting and scheduling digital content or splicing film when required.
- • Inspect films or digital packages to verify completeness and condition.
- • Set up and adjust projectors, lenses, screens, and sound to achieve proper size, focus, illumination, volume, and tone.
- • Inspect projection and audio equipment before shows to ensure proper working order.
- • Perform minor repairs and adjustments or escalate major issues to maintenance.
- • Open and close the booth and related systems per theater procedures and schedules.
- • Monitor playback to anticipate and execute transfers to backup equipment when needed.
- • Set up, test, and operate curtain, masking, and screen controls.
- • Rewind film prints and archive or delete digital content after runs.
- • Coordinate playback with supplemental material such as music, announcements, or sound effects.
- • Install and connect microphones, amplifiers, playback devices, and cue lights.
- • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, show logs, and attendance or performance records.
- • Perform routine maintenance, including replacing xenon lamps, cleaning projectors and lenses, lubricating mechanisms, and tightening electrical contacts.
- • Clean and organize the projection booth.
