Description
Clean, shape, and care for clients' feet and toenails; provide pedicures, polish, and decorative services while maintaining sanitation and client comfort.
- • Clean and sanitize tools, footbaths, and work areas.
- • Schedule client appointments and accept payments.
- • Remove existing toenail polish or gel with appropriate removers.
- • Trim, shape, and smooth toenails using nippers, files, and buffers.
- • Apply base coat, color, and top coat to toenails.
- • Advise clients on foot and toenail care, products, and colors.
- • Maintain supply inventories and client service records.
- • Lightly roughen toenails or overlays for adhesion with an electric file when appropriate.
- • Promote and sell foot and nail care products.
- • Buff toenails to a natural shine when polish is not requested.
- • Clean and brighten the underside of toenails as desired.
- • Decorate toenails with decals, gems, or hand-painted designs.
- • Soften, push back, and trim toenail cuticles safely.
- • Soak feet in warm, soapy water and cleanse toenails with appropriate tools.
- • Use electric files to refine toenails or artificial overlays.
- • Assess feet and toenails, exfoliate and reduce calluses, and massage feet and lower legs.
- • Repair or strengthen damaged toenails with wraps or overlays.
- • Apply and shape artificial toenail extensions or overlays with acrylic or gel when requested.
