Description
Enforce fire and life safety codes; inspect buildings, sites, and fire protection systems for hazards; and recommend or oversee prevention and control measures. May report fire incidents and risk conditions and support pre-incident planning.
- • Relay emergency, inspection, and hazard information to dispatch, command, and stakeholders.
- • Coordinate with fire crews and incident command during emergencies, providing building data and access.
- • Assess incident scope and building hazards on scene and report updates by radio or mobile.

- • Monitor storage of combustibles, hot work, electrical safety, and housekeeping; recommend corrections.
- • Conduct fire and life safety training, evacuation drills, and extinguisher instruction.
- • Educate the public on fire prevention, smoke alarms, evacuation planning, and seasonal risk advisories.
