  • • Research, prototype, and evaluate fire detection, alarm, and suppression technologies.
  • • Analyze building designs and performance data to identify fire risks and protection requirements.
  • • Advise architects, engineers, and code officials using research findings on equipment selection and code compliance.
  • • Investigate fire incidents and test ignition scenarios to determine causes and preventive measures.
  • • Collaborate with authorities and standards bodies to recommend updates to regulations and standards.
  • • Develop and validate strategies for multi-hazard resilience involving fire, wind, and water impacts.
  • • Study ignition mechanisms, material flammability, and fire growth behavior.
  • • Publish and present research at conferences, workshops, and technical committees.
  • • Develop technical guidance, tools, and training materials to transfer research into practice.
  • • Analyze fire incident and response data to assess program effectiveness and inform policy.
  • • Conduct experimental and computational research on fire retardants and product/material fire safety.
