Integrate field data and ecological science to develop adaptive strategies for restoration, monitoring, and resource management in collaboration with biologists, field crews, and stakeholders.
  • • Notify permitting agencies of deviations from approved restoration plans or timelines.
  • • Develop restoration project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • • Provide science-based recommendations to landowners and partners to maintain or restore habitat conditions.
  • • Create maps and design drawings for restoration using GIS, CAD, and other mapping tools.
  • • Prepare and obtain environmental permits required for restoration activities.
  • • Review and refine ecological restoration designs and specifications.
  • • Supervise and train field crews in habitat restoration methods and monitoring protocols.
  • • Provide technical ecological guidance to engineers, biologists, and other professionals developing restoration strategies.
  • • Plan or oversee ecological studies to support regulatory compliance and impact minimization for construction and infrastructure projects.
  • • Inspect active restoration sites to ensure compliance with ecological objectives, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • • Plan restoration projects using biological databases, ecological principles, and planning software.
  • • Identify short- and long-term ecological impacts of restoration and site disturbance activities.
  • • Identify mitigation and adaptive management alternatives that meet ecological goals and regulatory requirements.
  • • Develop habitat and ecosystem models or simulations using GIS data and local ecological knowledge.
  • • Conduct feasibility and cost-benefit analyses for proposed restoration actions.
  • • Conduct ecological assessments to evaluate effects of pollutants, disturbance, invasive species, and climate change on habitats.
  • • Communicate study findings, monitoring results, and restoration proposals to project teams and stakeholders.
  • • Collect and analyze ecological and hydrological data to determine site conditions and restoration needs.
  • • Develop natural resource and adaptive management plans aligned with state and federal ecological requirements.
  • • Develop restoration and mitigation plans for rights-of-way and energy infrastructure sites (e.g., transmission lines, pipelines, wind and solar facilities).
  • • Create habitat management prescriptions, including native revegetation, invasive species control, and soil stabilization.
  • • Conduct baseline and post-restoration site assessments to document habitat condition and performance.
  • • Prepare grant proposals and technical reports to secure funding and document project outcomes.
