Description
Deliver newspapers to subscribers on assigned routes, meet delivery deadlines, maintain delivery records and supplies, collect payments when required, and provide basic customer service.
- • Collect subscription payments when applicable, issue receipts, and record transactions.
- • Maintain and update route lists, delivery notes, vacation holds, and address changes.
- • Use a mobile app or forms to confirm deliveries and report misses or extras.
- • Respond to customer questions and resolve delivery issues or escalate to circulation staff.
- • Distribute sample papers or promotional flyers to prospective customers.
- • Maintain delivery supplies such as bags and rubber bands and basic equipment or vehicle.
- • Report leads for new subscriptions and encourage renewals.
- • Pick up newspaper bundles from the distribution point and verify counts.
- • Insert required supplements; fold and bag papers for weather protection.
- • Load and organize newspapers for efficient route delivery.
- • Travel the assigned route by foot, bicycle, or vehicle to meet delivery deadlines.
- • Place newspapers at designated locations (porch, door, or newspaper tube) per customer instructions.
