Description
Prepare and cook pizzas in a fast-service pizzeria with a focused menu. Duties include dough and topping prep, assembling pizzas to spec, operating high-volume ovens, slicing and boxing orders, and maintaining food safety and cleanliness.
- • Manage multiple pizzas and sides simultaneously to meet exact order counts.
- • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards at the pizza make line, ovens, and prep areas.
- • Clean make tables, ovens, peels, cutters, and utensils.
- • Operate high-volume pizza ovens (deck or conveyor) and related equipment.
- • Verify pizzas meet standards for portioning, bake time, crust doneness, and presentation.
- • Read and prioritize orders from POS tickets; coordinate with counter and delivery staff.
- • Assemble pizzas to recipe and customer specs; adjust for toppings, size, and bake notes.
- • Wash, slice, and prep toppings such as vegetables, meats, and cheeses.
- • Portion sauce, cheese, and toppings according to specs.
- • Bake, slice, and box pizzas; hold sides within time and temperature guidelines.
- • Stage completed orders for pickup, delivery, or counter service.
- • Stock and restock refrigerated rails, sauce wells, dough trays, and to-go supplies.
- • Prepare specialty items like calzones, breadsticks, and salads using standard methods.
- • Mix, proof, portion, and stretch dough; hand-toss or press to required thickness.
- • Coordinate oven loads and bake schedules with shift leads to meet rush demand.
- • Prepare and portion dipping sauces and side items as required.
- • Make pizza sauce and seasoning blends following recipes and batch controls.
- • Receive, rotate, and store ingredients and packaging; track par levels and inventory.
- • Pre-cook or pre-portion toppings (e.g., bacon, sausage) as required by menu.
