Description
Apply engineering and biological sciences to design, test, and manage agricultural machinery, electrification, structures, soil and water conservation, and agricultural product processing.
- • Advise on water quality, pollution management, river control, and ground and surface water resources.
- • Conduct educational programs for farmers and cooperatives to improve productivity.
- • Review plans with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineers to refine designs.
- • Supervise food processing or manufacturing plant operations.
- • Design and oversee environmental and land reclamation projects for agricultural sites.
- • Plan and direct construction of rural electric power distribution, irrigation, drainage, and flood control systems.
- • Design food processing plants and related mechanical systems.
- • Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, proposals, and budgets for sites and systems.
- • Visit project sites to assess environmental issues, consult with contractors, and monitor construction.
